Dracaena marginata
Red-Edged Chevron Plant
Description
This tree is actually grown most of the time as a houseplant. It does best with bright indirect light, fertile well draining soil. It does best with regular watering although it can withstand drought. Cut back on watering during fall and winter. It does not tolerate frost. Leaves are thin, ribbon-like, stiff, with red margins. It can reach 15' tall and 8' wide. This tree gets tall and lanky, and leaf-less on the lower trunk. Prune the tree to the desired height; it will promote more bushiness.
