Common name:Variegated Century Plant
Botanical name:Agave americana 'Variegata'

This Agave has a creamy yellow margins around the edge of the leaves. It will grow 6'-10' tall by up to 13' wide. It is native to Mexico. It has a very open growth habit, with leaves that recurve along their length. -Mountain States Nursery

Desert Museum Palo Verde

Common name:Desert Museum Palo Verde
Botanical name:Parkinsonia 'Desert Museum'

Striking, generally multi-trunked tree to 25' tall and wide. Three-way cross between P. aculeata, P. microphyllum, and P. floridum. Plants are thornless, and produce abundant clusters of yellow flowers in the spring.

Century Plant, Maguey

Common name:Century Plant, Maguey
Botanical name:Agave americana

This plant is fast growing to about 6'-10' tall and 8'-13' wide. Wide gray leaves have stiff terminal spines and recurved teeth on margins. It prefers full sun and well-drained situations. After blooming, which could take several years, it will die but will send up new pups from around the base. Some people are allergic to the sap. Removal is difficult if unwanted.

Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar

Botanical name:Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca Pendula'

This large, slow-growing conifer exhibits weeping growth form. Its golden leaves are 1" in size, and it also requires full sun in order to best develop its color. It serves as an excellent specimen or rock garden subject.

Hardy Aloe

Botanical name:Aloe striatula

Aloe striatula is a robust, rambling plant that can form a large shrub of up to 6.7 feet (2 m) in height. The leaves are dark green and strongly recurved, with numerous small white teeth along their margins. The flowers are yellow and orange and appear densely on up to 16 inches (40 cm) tall, un-branched, cone-shaped racemes throughout the summer.

Blue Yucca

Botanical name:Yucca rigida

Evergreen treelike yucca grows at a moderate rate to 12' x 5'. Distinctive, blue gray leaves have sharp tips. Striking bluish color makes it a great accent. White clusters of flowers appear on tall stalks late spring to summer. Accepts full sun. Native to the Chihuahuan Desert in Mexico.

Krauter Vasuvius Flowering Plum

Common name:Krauter Vasuvius Flowering Plum
Botanical name:Prunus cerasifera 'Krauter Vesuvius'

The 'Krauter Vesuvius' is a smaller growing, flowering plum that grows to 18' high by 12' wide. Its leaves are purple-black throughout the growing season, and the flowers have a light pink color.
